BTCCSquare news:

A 21-year-old Ukrainian student, Danylo K., was brutally tortured and burned alive in Vienna after assailants forced him to disclose passwords to his cryptocurrency wallets. The attackers emptied his digital accounts before setting him ablaze in his father’s Mercedes S 350D, which was found charred beneath the Ostbahn railway line in Donaustadt.

The crime began in the garage of Vienna’s Sofitel hotel, where the victim was ambushed by a 19-year-old acquaintance and a 45-year-old accomplice. Hotel guests reported a violent altercation, with blood traces later discovered in the stairwell. The assailants fled to Ukraine with stolen cash but were apprehended days later.

Danylo, son of Kharkiv’s deputy mayor, became another grim statistic in the rising global trend of crypto-related violence. His case underscores the lethal risks of digital asset ownership when security protocols fail—or are forcibly breached.
